The 9th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference is a major international conference being jointly hosted by the International Institute of Refrigeration and AIRAH. The Conference focuses on the latest research results and advances related to the use of natural refrigerants in refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pump systems and more.
It highlights the environmentally sound refrigeration technologies using natural refrigerants such as CO2, ammonia or hydrocarbons. Encouraging their use is a major contribution in the fight against climate change.
This is the first time this one of a kind conference will be held in the southern hemisphere, following previous successful events in Denmark (Copenhagen) 2008, Norway (Trondheim) 2006, UK (Glasgow) 2004, China (Guangzhou) 2002, USA (Purdue) 2000, Norway (Oslo) 1998, Denmark (Aarhus) 1996 and Germany(Hanover) 1994.
The conference will bring together the worlds leading professionals in the field and they will discuss the latest in research, technologies, case studies, practical applications, the future of natural refrigerants, and the world's best practice relating to energy.
More information including a preliminary program consisting of over 80 speakers (most of whom are international) is available at the conference website www.airah.org.au/iir-gl2010
