Serafino's Winery. McLaren Vale, SA

serafino hero sm

Serafino McLaren Vale, formerly McLarens on the Lake, is situated in a serene native park like setting only 40 minutes from Adelaide in South Australia's picturesque internationally recognised McLaren Vale wine growing region.

The theme this year is titled "Tastes of the Future" with the focus on the production methods and influences associated with processing Low alcohol wines and alternative grape varieties.

We will also be covering recent technology advancements as well as updates on sustainability issues and operational efficiency gains etc.

The conference format has been changed to single sessions over the two days rather than parallel sessions. There will also be a series of interactive workshops to encourage participant involvement, we are interested in your feedback on suitable topics for the proposed workshops and encourage you to forward your suggestions to our Speaker Programme Coordinator David Clark via email.

Additional to the conference is a planned full day workshop on the day prior to the conference (Tuesday 4th June). The workshop will cover winery wastewater treatment including site visits to a number of local wineries in the McLaren Vale region.

The event will be supported by John Constable and Mike Carson of JJC Engineering, there will be an update on this proposal shortly..

The exhibition layout is underway and those who are interested in exhibiting  please contact our Conference Coordinator Trevor Leighton for details rates etc.

Pre-Conference Effluent Workshop - McLaren Vale  - June 4th

On Tuesday June 4th a special tour is available to focus on Winery Trade Waste Management.

The workshop includes visits to the effluent treatment facilities at wineries in the McLaren Vale region. The objective for participants in the workshop is to develop an understanding of current effluent treatment practices, the equipment used and the issues involved. A visit to the Willunga water recycling plant is included. Representatives from each of the locations visited will be available for general discussion and questions. JJC Engineering represented by John Constable and Mike Carson will lead the visits and be available to provide technical support.

Places on this tour are limited so it is on a first in basis. This event will require transport to the various locations, car pooling is encouraged. A map will be provided for direction.

This event is an educational and networking opportunity for winemakers, winery production people, engineering and maintenance people.
